VIDEO/PROJECTION DESIGNER 

Inspired by the Swiss Air 111 disaster that struck off the coast of Peggy’s Cove in 1998, Downed Hearts tells the story of a small island community attempting to cope in the aftermath of tragedy. As projections designer, I worked with and created heavily manipulated water and sky textures to display the inner emotional world of Aaron, the main character which the play follows. Projections were closely tied to lighting ad sound transitions between scenes, and also played a role at the top and tail of the show. My favourite build was the very top of the show, where I create a dreamscape visual to depict elements of Aaron's nightmare. This whole production was an absolute dream team - I owe so much to the collaboration of my fellow designers.
