VIDEO/PROJECTION DESIGNER 

Working on Come From Away at Neptune Theatre was a blast! My design approach was focused on subtle atmospheric textures and light to help support and not overpower this story. I created lost of gentle moving textures to give the feeling of movement and energy stirring, without ever being too literal about place.

My favourite video moment in the show is the scene where I projected translations of the message "be anxious for nothing" in different languages, many of which would have been spoken by passengers on the planes. I enjoyed researching and consulting with people of different regions, religions and cultures to find the most meaningful translations.
I also animated time and dates that echoed the script, to help the audience keep up with the show's fast pace... among other bits an bobs.
