KOQM

 LIGHTING DESIGNER

Koqm, written and performed by L'nu storyteller shalan joudry, is a one-woman monologue-driven show, which was premiered at King's Theatre in Annapolis Royal and later performed on the main stage at Neptune Theatre. The performer was masked for majority of the show, and the show included a choreographed movement piece. As lighting designer, I worked to represent the look and feeling of a wooded forest space over the course of many generations, playing with different qualities of light and a dynamic hazer to create beams of light through what might have been openings in the forest leaves above.
Co-Presented by Neptune Theatre & Prismatic Arts Festival at Neptune Theatre
Production: Two Planks and a Passion Theatre, Nestuita’si Storytelling, and El’tuek Qokom
